Thought for the Day:
The blood of the Lord Jesus Christ which cleanses from all sin -- in this all must be washed, to be admitted into the gracious presence of God on earth, and his glorious presence in heaven.
Affirmation
All true believers wholly ascribe their redemption and conversion, their present privileges and future hopes, to the eternal and most holy God. Thus rise the forever harmonious, thankful songs of the redeemed in heaven. Would we on earth do like them, let our praises be constant, not interrupted; united, not divided; thankful, not cold and formal; humble, not self-confident?
Thankful songs of the redeemed in heaven
Continue harmoniously, with gusto.
May it be that all we yet living on earth
Will Shout! Will Sing! Will let the world hear
and desire to know ...
That for His sweet love we are grateful, and
In His holiness we'll forever abide ...
Faithful and true, united in love
A special people ... Christ's redeemed bride.
The First and Last
Our Lord Jesus is the First, for by him were all things made; he was before all things, with God, and is God himself. He is the Last, for he will be the Judge of all. As this First and Last, who was dead and is alive, is the believer's Brother and Friend, he must be rich in the deepest poverty, honorable amidst the lowest abasement, and happy under the heaviest tribulation. Many who are rich as to this world, are poor as to the next; and some who are poor outwardly, are inwardly rich; rich in faith, in good works, rich in privileges, rich in gifts, rich in hope.
By Him were all things made;
Honorable and upright is He.
Poor by choice, rich by ancestry,
Outwardly human, inwardly holy.
He will one day judge the world,
and none will escape His call.
A moment of regret, an eternity of remorse ...
Was life's sin truly worth it all?
